I wanted to make a computer game of some description and one of my friends suggested audio game maker. The only trouble is, I've downloaded and installed it, but I can't seem to get it to work. Does anyone know why this might be or any other ways I could make a computer game?

well, its finicky. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, and there really isn't any rhyme or reason. You can install it, it won't work, then reinstall it, and it works. shrug

Furthermore, its highly buggy, and the developers now long are supporting it from last I checked.
I too was lured in and was disappointed.

Perhaps someone else might take up the project and improve it.
But it costs a lot in terms of time and effort.
Any game maker will tell you, that it takes an incredible amount of time to push out a successful and fun game.

Try creating a mud, then tell me if you've got the patience and time :)
A mud is so easy to build, but not so easy as it takes a lot of time.

What's a mud? I've heard of them, but never seen or used one.

I've just realized with the help of a friend that audio game maker only works if I turn jaws off. Gurr'r'r'r'r'r'rr.
